Ms. Arthur has been licensed in the mortgage and real estate industries for 12 years and has held professional licenses in the State of Florida for over 24 years. After resigning from Flag Star Bank as a Sr Loan Officer in January 2008, MSR was developed and continues to develop daily.

We believe that the needs of the Homeowner have simply not been met by local or federal government agencies or by the lenders servicing the mortgage loans. (And we dont expect them to) There is no argument that homeowners are best served at a local level and if possible, by and through individual attention. Bank of America recently implemented the personal “relationship manager”. We applaud the effort. But still the relationship manager is a gate keeper and cannot sign off on a loan modification request. Nor is it their job to act in the best interest of the homeowner, but of their employer.

We like the people that work for the banks and they like us. The people that work in the banks want to help the homeowner as much as we do. Unfortunately government red tape, confusion of guidelines and lack of communication between a fearful homeowner and “frightening” lender, prevents this. When we call they appreciate our efforts as we “speak the same language” and together, can often find rapid solutions to common logistical and communication problems between homeowner and themselves. When the homeowner has a true Advocate, things go smoother. The kind of representation the Homeowner needs cannot take place simply by providing government hotlines and 800#’s, NACA “bread lines” to stand in to meet their banker.

Homeowners need greater access to a network of professionals they can trust.

Since there is usually great emotional attachment to one’s home and mortgages are complicated financial instruments, we believe strongly that local mortgage and real estate specialists (and other industry related professionals) with the willingness to address the families entire scenario should educate homeowners about available strategies.  Assessing how to make mortgage payments manageable, the overall financial health and the ultimate well being of the homeowner is our only goal.
